This molecule is an hexapeptide that works as a secretagogue for somatropin, the Human Growth Hormone (HGH). In other words, it can cause the growth hormone to be released in the human body.
It is part of a chemical group of hexapeptides that carry out the same function, but have significant side effects. For instance, GHRP-6 triggers heavy hunger side effects, while all GHRP 2 does is slightly increasing hunger in some users. This depends on the fact that this molecule acts as an antagonist for ghrelin, an hormone found in the stomach whose levels increase during fasting and before meals. The hunger one experiences while assuming this hexapeptide derives from the ghrelin, that gets increased in a noticeable fashion.
How Does GHRP 2 Work?
We will omit technical details about the working principles of this molecule, focusing instead our attention on dosages and usages.
Being a peptide, it exists in the form of a lyophilized powder one has to reconstitute in order to use. It does not tolerate either hot temperatures or dampness, so it has to be stored in cool, dry places. Given that it is meant for injection, the only means for reconstitution are sodium chloride or bacteriostatic water, and the reconstituted product has to be placed in a refrigerator (or another cold place) until ready for injection.
The action of this molecule is useful, but it does not last for long: it wears off after just an hour from the injection, and reaches its concentration peak 15 minutes before physical activity. High dosages are not discouraged, but research is being undertaken to discover whether high dosages are effective or not. Typical doses call for 100-300 mcg per injection, to be used twice or three times per day, and the best course of action is matching to this dose a GHRH (Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone) for better effectiveness.
The best results come after a minimum of three months of use and for not longer than six months.
Has It Downsides?
This molecule only has a few downsides, that may be annoying but are not dangerous for the human body. In addition to the abovementioned slight increase in hunger, they include cortisol and prolactin levels increase (proportionally to the GHRP intake), feelings of tiredness after the first injection, water retention, numbness, decreased sensitivity to insulin, and tingling.
What Are The Benefits Of GHRP 2 In Bodybuilding?
This is the mildest GHRP, so its positive side effects way outnumber than the negative ones. Athletes and bodybuilders that use this molecule will enjoy a sensible decrease in body fat, the improvement of sleep, and an increase in lean body mass, cellular repair and bone density. Body fat will be heavily reduced thanks to the secretion of IGF-1 (Insuline-like Growth Factor) by the liver.
These effects on the body directly affect sport performances. In fact, the injection of this molecule makes one more strong and robust due to the beneficial effect on bone regeneration and muscles. It also helps the immune system, strengthens the joints, and works against the process of aging.
At the price of a slight sense of hunger and a few negligible side effects, athletes and bodybuilders alike will experience much better muscle tone and physical performances.
